When Will We Stop Neglecting Mental Health?

It breaks my heart to read about the passing of a 17‑year‑old NEET‑UG aspirant who took her own life a day before the exam. (read the news)

A daughter, a dreamer, and a diligent student, sadly succumbed to a burden many carry in silence.

And we must ask:  ?

Every time I hear about a child breaking under pressure, it breaks my heart.
How many more exam sheets must turn into emotional burnouts before we take this seriously?

We talk of ranks, NEET, JEE, jobs, and success—
But we forget that no achievement matters if the mind is not at peace.
Mental health isn’t a crisis—it’s a system failure.

Still taboo. Still misunderstood. Still hidden behind smiles and silence.

As a life coach and career clarity consultant, I’ve met numbers of teens and young professionals—brilliant, capable, but broken inside. Because no one ever taught them that it’s okay to not be okay.

So let’s ask ourselves:
Are we only teaching our kids how to score well?
Or are we teaching them how to live well?

Here’s what I believe:
✅ Every School must have mindset screening every year.
☑️ Every Parent must normalize conversations about emotions.
✅ Every Student deserves access to support—before the system breaks them.

At Premit Brothers we’re on a mission to change this.
From Psychometric tests to life design and emotional wellness tools—we help build resilience, self-understanding, and mental strength.
Because clarity is the real cure.

And mindset isn’t luxury—it’s survival.

Turning Your Back Won’t Put Out the Fire

We’ve created a culture that celebrates toppers and shames strugglers.
That rewards percentages and punishes emotions.
That still treats “mental health” as madness, instead of maintenance.

Ask yourself — would you wait for a heart attack to get a check-up?
No? Then why do we treat the mind like a backup system when it’s actually the operating core?

Over 60–70% of physical illnesses are rooted in mental stress, anxiety, or unresolved trauma (Source: WHO, APA, NIMH).

Mindset Screening Should Be Annual

And the cost? An entire generation that knows how to score marks but not how to handle pressure.

‍ ‍ Parents: It Starts With You

Your child may not say it, but they need space, empathy, and someone to say — “You’re not alone.”

“It’s Okay to be Not Okay”

; .

Whether it’s a parent, a friend, or a mentor, speak to someone. Let them walk with you, even if just for a while.

To parents, teachers, and coaching centers, let’s remember that pressure doesn’t always build diamonds. Sometimes it breaks people.

Let’s shift the conversation from ranks to resilience and from pressure to compassion.
